Cheery Spring Mantel

I have been really enjoying dragging out old things to add to my decor. This old picket fence was in our backyard when we moved here about two years ago. I never knew it was such a treasure! I LOVE IT!

The bookpage wreath adds some soft roudness, yes, that’s “professional” decorator talk there! teehee 🙂

I have one more idea for the mantel that is in the works. I’ll be posting about it next. Here’s a hint of what it is: It begins with a “B” and ends with an “er”. Hmmm…. mystery has never been a quality of mine.

Then it’s on to finishing my tablescape. Oh yeah, I also need something for the chandelier, over the sink, on and on and on, right?  I have a love/hate relationship with my list of hopeful creations. I love the projects, but I hate that I don’t have enough time in the day!

  4. Wow! Your mantle is so cheery, I love it! I know you’re happy you saved that adorable picket fence! I have a funky gate from an old picket fence I need to incorporate in my house too, thanks for the inspiration!

    • Your newbie party is such a fantastic idea! I’m still learning and trying to decide about committing to a web host. I know I’m loving meeting people like myself, so thanks for giving me the opportunity for that. I commented on several of the posts on your party. There’s so much talent out there, kind of intimidating!
